Nursery Step 1 Complete.

Well....we decided it was time to get started on Nugget's room.  I will never again paint a room with Jeffrey Peltier.  I told him he was a mean boss and he told me I was a bad worker.

Nevertheless, it's done, and we agreed that it looked good and even high fived after the last touch-up.  It's mighty cute if I must say so myself.  Keep in mind it's just bare walls and carpet right now, but I can envision the final product.  Nugget is going to be so thankful that his parents put so much effort and almost tore each other's hair out to get his room painted.  I will post pics later when I get them loaded, or maybe after we buy some furniture to go in there.

Nothing else new as far as Nugget is concerned.  I think he occasionally dances around in there, because I have felt a few flutters.  So I figure he might be getting his groove on doing the charlie brown or the tootsie roll.  He's got moves just like his Momma!  Look out Usher.

Jeff told Nugget that we are going to take him out on the high seas in a few days and I don't think he was really interested.  No electric slide goin on in there to celebrate, so I think he's kind of indifferent.  Mommy and Daddy, however, are counting down the minutes until vacation.  I'm tired.  I don't know about Jeffrey, but I assume he is too since every morning he wakes up and says he's going back to sleep.  I am ready to sit my fat butt in a chair by the pool and read myself silly.  Jeff is ready to squander some of Nugget's college tuition in the casino.  Nice.

Pics after we get back from the cruise!!  xoxo

I'm waiting to be kicked...

Well, nothing new really....I'm still waiting on Little Peltier to kick me or something to make his presence known. Jeff, however, seems to believe that he has felt him kick. He kisses him goodbye every morning when he leaves for work and even though I haven't felt a thing, Daddy seems to think he is special because HE can magically feel the little guy. It's an unbelievable phenomenon to say the least. *sarcasm*

I also told Jeff that I needed a name to call the little guy when I talked about him on here, and he came back with the brilliant suggestion of BOSS HOG. Sweet litttle pudgy angel growing in my belly and Daddy thinks Boss Hog would be the most appropriate name to call him. Needless to say, although very appreciated, I will not be using his suggestion. From here on, I will be referring to him as Nugget.

Nugget has already acquired some super cute attire (jammies) and multiple books from Bella (my mom) and Graham (Jeff's mom). Much to our enjoyment, all the clothing has been surrounding monkeys, so when he is snoozing in his little crib with his PRECIOUS bedding, he and his monkey jammies and monkey stuffed animals will blend right in. :) Here is a pic of his oh-so-cute bedding that we ordered.

We took some pics this weekend to attempt to capture my growing torso. I feel super pregs, but you can BARELY tell in the pics!! I don't get it. When I am standing around in undergarments (which only happens in the early hours of the morning after Jeff has left for work b/c I'm too embarrassed of my super chub bod) my tummy is protruding HUGELY from it's normal position. But I had pants on that buttoned and were a little snug so I guess they kept my tummy tucked in a little more than it prefers. So you can't really tell. I will take more since I now own some prego pants with only elastic waist so there is nothing to restrain my bulge. Here they are:

So, hopefully next time I post we will have some kickboxing or something going on in there. Of course Jeffrey will try to one-up me, so he will probably be saying that he feels Nugget giving him high fives when he puts his hand on my tummy. Dream on.

A Little Man is on the Way!!!

I have now been pregs for 17 weeks, and I officially have a visible baby in my tummy. Hopefully at this point people can tell I am 'with child' and not just getting a bit chunky.

We saw the little guy's bidness in all his glory at my 16 week apptmt. He was mighty proud and happily spread his legs to show it off to us. Daddy was ALSO mighty proud and immediately said, 'THAT'S my boy!!' He also wasn't quite sure what to call his little manhood with the nurse lady in there so he decided the best word to use would be 'WENIS.' That's right, Jeff said 'well there's his little WENIS!!!!' I didn't have the nerve to even look at the nurse to see her reaction. But Baby was moving around like crazy in there, kicking his legs. He was also just a-waving at us and even yawned while we were watching! I can already tell he's so cute, just like his daddy! :)

The fun is beginning!! We have picked out some bedding that we love and also narrowed down the furniture selection to a few sets. I will put up some links soon when I figure this thing out.

I am still cranky and short on patience, but hey, maybe I should stop blaming that on pregnancy and accept the personality that God blessed me with.

Well, when there is new and interesting info to tell, I will post again!! We'll see how this whole blogging thing goes.....oh, and I have to give a shout out to my work friend Leah who told me that I needed to start doing this....Leah, let's see how long you keep reading this when you realize how boring I really am :)
