Back from Vacay!!

Well...back to the real world it is :(  Vacation to Destin was awesome!!  I did entirely too much shopping and ate wayyyyy too much good food.  I think Walker really enjoyed that part.  He was really partying it up, that kid didn't stop boogyin the whole time.

I DON'T have gestational diabetes, praise Jesus!!  Thank you for the prayers for me :)  They told me I could call back to the doctor's office on the Friday before we left to find out my results.  Well, they called me on Tuesday, the day after I had gone in for my appointment, so I thought oh no, it must be bad.  But I guess the results just came back really quick!  I am slightly anemic, so I'm taking EXPENSIVE iron vitamins to help with that.

Walker has taken up gymnastics as well as dancing it seems.  I do believe he is perfecting the somersault in there and, as usual, my bladder is taking the brunt of his flailing appendages.  Both Jeffrey and I have seen my tummy moving around from the little booger, so we were really excited.  At this point he is moving around so much that it looks like there's a little critter in there trying to escape!  I guess he might be!  He's gotta be bored in there and if he feels anything like me, this whole process is taking a lonnnnnnnnng time.

We got a chair for his room yesterday!  We were looking at gliders, but they were so expensive that we just decided to get a la-z-boy!  We got one that matches the chair in our living room so that after we're done having babies, we'll have 2 matching chairs.  It fits in his little room nicely and so now we're done with all the big stuff for the nursery!  Only thing left is hanging stuff on the walls and curtains, which Graham is sewing for us. Love you Graham! :)

Here are a few pics, I am now at 26 weeks and 3 days, almost to the 3rd trimester!!

Little Man

Walker Holmes Peltier!

So there it is. Our little man is Walker. But from the beating my bladder is getting from him all the time, I'd say he's more like a stomper than a walker. I know he already loves his name because every time he hears people talking about him, he backs that thang up Juvenile style.

We loved Walker when we first heard it, and it just grew on us the longer we thought about it.  Holmes is Jeffrey's middle name from his Mom's side of the family, and I just love it!  That was the only middle name I ever wanted.

I hope everyone likes his name, but if you don't, please keep your comments to yourself!! :) Speaking of comments, I have no idea what happened to all the comments everyone has left on previous posts!! I am so sad, I have no idea where they went or how to get them back!! If anyone has any ideas how to fix this, let me know please!

That's pretty much it for now. I did have my glucose test today, so I'm tossing up prayers that my bloodwork comes back good. I'm sure I'll have a post by the end of this week in which I'll either be happy as can be or cursing insulin. We'll see soon!  And now I will let Jeffrey type since he is sitting here bugging me to say something....

No Longer Nugget

Well, the little man will forever be thought of with happiness in my heart as my little Nugget, but we are no longer calling him that.  We have picked a name for him, but Jeffrey is having a hard time with the commitment so he wants to wait a little bit longer before we tell everyone just IN CASE we find an unbelievable name that we can't pass up, like Wilfred or Eugene or Dilbert.  Those are just a few of the wonderful suggestions that Jeff's cousins and brothers and my cousin Trey have offered.  We have talked about a few names to some people in the past but we have actually chosen a different name that we found just this past week and fell in love with.  I think Jeffrey will be over his commitment jitters in the next week, so I'll be sure and post ASAP.  I know our baby's name is a top priority in most of the lives of the people that actually read this rambling of mine. :)  Also, I know you're all laughing at the fact that Jeffrey is having commitment jitters when  I am 6 months pregs.  It's just a little late for commitment concerns, Daddy.

So since I live an absolutely dreadfully boring life and have nothing new to report, I have a few pics to post.  I am getting frustrated b/c EVERYONE keeps saying that I don't even look pregnant!!!!  I am a TALL WOMAN people, with a long torso, so little man still has alot of room in there; he's not having to expand my belly outwards to make room for his dance rehearsals yet.  Just look at my triple chin if you need further proof of my pregnancy.  So here are some pics at 24 weeks and 3 days.

So thank goodness my camo shirt does the trick and you can't see my HUMONGOUS belly button in the pic where I'm facing frontwards.  We used to make fun of one of my friends in high school that had a big belly button, but hers has NOTHIN on my cereal bowl.  If I could maneuver better, I could easily eat an ice cream sundae, with whip cream and strawberry syrup, out of my own dang belly button.  If I were to get an outie while I'm pregnant, I could be a danger to society.  With as big as that thing would be, I could seriously injure an innocent bystander it if I weren't careful.  So I'm going to keep hoping that doesn't happen.

Ok, that's all I got for now.  I'll post next week after my 25 week appointment where I have to do glucose testing, EEK!!
